I am looking to sublet my room for a term of about 6 months, though I am willing to be flexible on the dates depending on your needs. I have listed the start date as October 1st for simplicity, but it could be ready up to a week earlier if needed. The room itself is very comfortable, spacious, and has everything you are likely to need inside it already including bed, mattress, desk, deskchair, AC unit, fans and other furnishings. It also features a full en suite bathroom and a large walk in closet, and it faces a backyard so it is very quiet. The house has 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, and two full bathrooms (including your ensuite) as well as a half bathroom on the first floor. There are two other guys living in the house, both quiet and respectful people. The downstairs area has a lot of space with a living room w large tv and comfy couch, full kitchen, dining area, and a balcony. And the room itself is large enough and has separate facilities so that if you are not comfortable living with unknown roommates you can definitely get enough privacy and time to yourself. Also we have installed an in-unit washer and dryer, a true blessing in this part of Bushwick. Even has roof access with a killer view of the Manhattan skyline. I am a musician so the room is full of studio equipment in the pictures, but most/all of it will be moved out by the start of the sublet depending on your needs. The location of the apartment is in a lovely peaceful part of southern bushwick, far enough from the center of party activity to be free of crowds and most noise but close enough to be a quick bike or train away. It is also very well connected transit wise, the J train is under 5 minutes walk away, the L is about 7 minutes walk, and the A/C line is also reachable by walking about 10-15 minutes. There is also a bus stop on the block. I love this cozy apartment and personally cant imagine wanting to live anywhere else, but work has called me to LA for a little while, so hoping someone else can get to enjoy it while i'm gone! If you are musically inclined at all bushwick is a great place for you with some of the highest density of venues on the eastern seaboard. As you might expect being from the Caribbean i am pretty easygoing with most things, but I do take good care of my space and hope to find someone to do the same while i'm gone! First step if you're interested would be to get on a call and talk about it, then if it seems like a good fit I would be happy to show you around the place and have you meet the roommates. I dont have very strict rental requirements other than one months worth of rent as a security deposit. However if you have previous references from another living situation and/or proof of sufficient income I would certainly take a look and it would give you a bit of a preferential edge when it comes down to choosing a final candidate for the sublet.
